Hazel Eyes
Hazel eyes begin to rise
As sunlight warms your face
The dreams that chase the night away
Now leave your warm embrace

Hazel eyes look to the skies
As you sip your coffee cup
You tip the man behind the stand
Who's never looking up

Hazel eyes to my surprise
Cradle tears of joy
Though you may hide behind them
The secret passions you enjoy

Hazel eyes are your disguise
To hide your world from us
As you watch our lives just pass you by
From that window seat of the bus

Hazel eyes to my demise
Give birth to my new sin
I would fall to ease all of your pain
If only you'd let me in

Hazel eyes do you realize
How much you mean to me
If only you knew just how much I feel
All your pain and misery
